Many say the ambience of the Inn takes them back to Victorian Halifax, when hospitality was more gracious and accommodations were considered a home away from home rather than just a place to sleep.

The Waverley's owner, Abe Leventhal, is often there to welcome you and share the stories behind each and every antique in the building. A local resident of Halifax, Abe has operated the inn for many years and is constantly looking for new ways and suggestions, to improve the experience of staying at the Waverley.

The Front Desk Staff, George, Christina, Kathleen, Ian and Calvin are also residents of the area. In addition to making sure that your stay is enjoyable as possible, the front desk can assist in planning what to see and do, where to dine, and any special request that you may have. Always equipped with a selection of restaurant menus, the front desk can recommend and make reservations for almost any desired dining experience. The entire staff has a wealth of knowledge about Halifax and the region and are more than willing to help in answering any questions you may have.
